Photostory Friday: 365 Week 28

365
Hosted by Chris

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and Momma

Day 189

July 9: Sometimes you just HAVE to stop and watch the sunset.

And then take a picture of it.

And if you don't have your camera handy, you HAVE to pull the car over to the side of the road, and get it out of the trunk.

And if you can't stop on the freeway to watch the sunset, you just HAVE to shoot it out of the moon roof, as you drive.

Okay, maybe YOU don't have to do that...

Day 190

July 10: If you like fireworks, then Farmington, Utah is the place to be in July. We get them three times!

Day 191

July 11: It started out as an innocent game of badminton...

Of course, that's how it always starts out with Emma...

(Did you know that badminton had an "N" in it?)

Day 192

July 12: I'm continually surprised by how many new angles I find to shoot pictures of my guitar.

Day 193

July 13: A photo of a photo.

These are my in-laws.

They are about as straight laced, buttoned down, by the book people as you will ever meet.

They are also converts to the LDS church -- which means no smoking, no drinking, etc...

Which is why I find this rarely seen photo from their more hedonistic college days so funny.

This is also why my mother-in-law is going to kill me...

Day 194

July 14: The latest addition to the "Crap in my backyard" file.

Day 195

July 15: So I asked Cecily -- you know, THE CECILY -- what I should take a picture of today, and she said to shoot a picture of something shiny that showed my reflection. I tried, but ran out of time (I do have a cool idea, but it's going to take some work).

But, in honor of her suggestion, I took this shot of my shadow on the backyard fence.

I was going for the cyclops look, but really it just looks like I have a hole in my head.

That last shot actually looks like one of those targets at a shooting range.
And, wow!! Terry looks like Erik...maybe the other way around. That shot is hilarious.

Beautiful Sunset! LOVE it!

Unfortunately my van does not have a moon roof. Guess I'll have to stick with slowing down too much and shooting out the windows.... then again, maybe not!

Love your fireworks shot too. The fun part about fireworks is that you don't really know what you are going to get until you go back and look through your pics!

GREAT fireworks shot. I suck at those.

emma is AWESOME, and YES I knew there was a "N" in there...but I am also AWESOME.

I want MORE guitar shots...so keep them coming.

The basketball hoop shot is MONEY. love the gradient of the sky.

and I am sorry to see that you've been shot in the head.

I just love the shot of Emma playing the badminton racket. And no I was not aware of the "n". I finally gave up and scrolled back up to check spelling. I tried a few times and spell check kept yelling. *L* Tricky word. ;)

I'm also a fan of the guitar shot.

And shadow, yep my first thought was a hole in your head...

Yep last shot totally looks like a target range thing, it is an awesome shot. That firework picture is awesome! And it is a beautiful sunset. We had an amazingly colorful one this week after an afternoon of storms.

Shoot. I totally commented. I must have forgot the word verification....

I love the firework shot..love it.

And, I wrote about a college friend that passed away in Farmington after being hit by a person running a red light while drag racing. The day you put the post up was the day of the 5 year anniversary of her death. I heard it had a great impact on the city. Where you there then?

Your in-laws may kill you, but oh so funny. It's clear they were just joking around, though.

Love that fireworks shot!

love the sunset picture! They have been spectacular lately.

Your in-laws may call you an out-law if they see that! Funny.

My sis convinced me to come back to the photo group. So I did! My kids were a little worried about me sharing too much info about them. I'll have to watch that!

The picture of the sunset is beautiful. But I'd love to see a picture taken from the car behind you while you were taking it. Lol!

I was thinking target range when I saw the last picture, too.
