Photostory Friday: 365 Week 30

PhotoStory Friday

Day 203

July 23: Bachelorhood: It's not my thing.

My wife was out of town, my kids were out of town, and I had taken myself to a movie (Knight and Day -- don't bother). Afterward I just drove around, listening to music, taking pictures of my hand, and praying for red lights, so I wouldn't have to go home to an empty house.

Day 204

July 24: Kelsey's Bridals.

These were taken at an amazing place here in Salt Lake, called The Garden Park Ward. It's a church yard full of bridges and columns and ponds and arches and little pagan gypsy stages.

I see no reason for any of these things to be on the ground of an LDS Meetinghouse, other than for the benefit of photographers.

Day 205

July 25: Fifty shots later...

Day 206

July 26: When you go visit my sister-in-law Pam's blog, you'll see that she took a picture of a Dr. Pepper can today.

And her's is much better than mine.

Day 207

July 27: Pam is visiting tonight as I throw this blog together. As she was helping me choose a picture to post for Tuesday, she said she liked this one because you can see stars in the sky.

Turns out that was just the dirt on the computer screen.

Day 208

July 28: Blank.

I've got nothing.

Day 209

July: This is my nephew Cooper. He's half nerd, half beaver.

The comment about Coop made me snort.

Blank is my favorite of the week.

I really like the leaf shot though too.

Sorry you were lonely. You could have called. Jon and the kids and I are loud and obnoxious enough to make you happy for some silence. :)

P.S. In case you are losing sleep over it (and I KNOW you have been), I AM still keeping up with 365. I just haven't posted the pictures. Editing shoots has seriously overwhelmed me lately and for some reason that had to be something that got put on the back burner for a bit. I WILL come back to it though!!

Love that shot of the little one with the glasses and the jumping. Great shots as always!

Love the bridal shot and the leaf. Did you set up the shot with the leaf, or were you on your back/belly in your yard... watching the water drip on your plants?

I love to walk through your week every week. Love that bridal shop. And the feet belonging to the boy.

Love 205, I'd say worth 50+ shots. :) And also like 209. Half nerd, half beaver. You're such a nice uncle. hahaha

I love the shot from your night of bachelorhood. My husband tells me he's not so good at that either.

The drip shot from the leaf is awesome and worth lots of shots.

The one of your nephew is so funny. :) Happy Friday!

Oh that sounds like the perfect place for taking pictures. Sorry you had a night all alone. My husband feels the same way when he is alone. And that drip shot is amazing!

haha! I actually looked for the stars...that's what I get for not reading the entire caption:D and the last shot, SO funny. I snorted little...

Love your shots as always. And, yeah, I don't think Bachelorhood suits you. ;)
All your wedding shots REALLY make me want to be a bride again, btw!

Cooper's picture is by far my favorite! I think you forgot half (or third) ham.

K...we're going to take family pictures tomorrow and I think we ought to drive to SLC and check out that place... fabulous! *sigh* I guess we'll stick with the gardens at BYU-I like every year. I really need some new ideas around here!

And blank... best comment ever on a photo...

I love the sunset picture....even if there aren't any stars! =)

I wish more places would set up some lovely fountains and pillars for photographers. It would make life much easier!

The bridals are always good...pretty sure that's why they are there.

I have a lot of stars in my skies...and faces, too. My kids touch the screen a lot!

Heidi had her bridals taken there--a few years ago. It is an amazing place.

love your shots this week--especially the ones of the kids.

Knight and Day was no good? Bummer. I was looking forward to it coming to the dollar theater.

The stars being dust on the screen? Too funny. Still a great shot.

Half beaver. Half nerd. That made me laugh. Definitely a keeper. :)
