Photostory Friday: 365 Week 39

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and Lolli

Day 266

September 24: Holding hands is unlike anything else. It's a very intimate, yet very innocent act.

It's a very human, and simple way to say I love you.

Day 267

September 25: Oktoberfest, for a non-drinker, leaves a LOT of time for doing all the other things that Snowbird has to offer --- like taking the tram to Hidden Peak, and riding the chairlift down -- amidst nature's annual patchwork quilt show.

Bonus Picture!!

Also from Oktoberfest -- this is a picture taken by my wife, as I courageously rode this wild (albeit headless, and legless) bull, for 10 seconds!

Take that Luke Perry!

Day 268

September 26: I was in a bad mood. I was in a rut. I was sick and tired of taking pictures in my back yard, on my kitchen counter, or hanging out my car window -- so I decided to drive until I found something...

I drove up the mountain, past the houses, past the sign that said dead end, and up, and up -- and suddenly there was a meadow, with five of these beautiful buckskin colored horses in it.

Problem solved.

Momentarily.

Day 267

September  27: It took 150 pictures, a bruised shin, a bonk on the head, two sprained fingers, and convincing my son that I would not kill him for throwing a football right at my camera, to get the shot I wanted.

Well, to almost get it.

I wanted the football closer, but it's hard to keep things in focus as you're diving out of the way.

Day 268

September 28: Jordan, doing her best impression of the planet Saturn.

Day 269

September 29: My best friend tonight. And good news!

It tastes better than ever!!

Nyquil makes me stupid, in case you were wondering.

Day 270

September 30: I may just make a permanent date with my guitar every Thursday night.

It just shows up for the photo shoot, and gives me it's best smile every time.

"Nyquil makes me stupid..." LOL. Best line I've heard all day!

Love the horse shot. It's so good to get out away from the norm and find something different. It's wonderful.

I don't think I'd let anyone throw a ball at my camera to try to get a photo of it. I'm too uptight for that.

Ah, one word, Alka-Seltzer. Or is that two words? It's been my lifesaver this week.

Ruts. They're sneaky little buggars. I like the drive til you find something idea. I think I should try it. When I have time. Like next decade. Bah. Stupid sneaky rut.

I like the Saturn shot. And the football shot (brave!). And that Nyquil makes you stupid too.

Love the week and the Saturn picture above all.

I am also on the verge of driving far away to get away from the normal jaunt.

Nyquil is not as good as it used to be. It used to really knock me out but they took one of the main ingredients out and now it kinda stinks. Boo. Still, better than nothing, right?

LOVE the football shot! :)

The "Saturn" one is definitely my favorite..and a close second in the football one...only because you sacrificed so much for that shot!

Oh jealous of your tram ride. And 10 seconds I am impressed. You are very brave indeed but that football shot is cool

my favorite this week, holding hands :)

I love the shot with you holding Emma's hand, but I really love the shot of Jordan.

Plus, I can see Sandy's Power Pigs in the background.

Luke Perry - haha!

oooh - I don't do NyQuil. ick.

And I'm with Kaye, I really like the holding hands pic too. Very sweet.

Aside from the fact that I don't think I could make it without a big city all of 4 miles away, I really wish I lived where you live. Snowbird all year round...seriously awesome.
Can it really be called Oktoberfest without beer?
And the football picture just took the spot of my "favorite picture by Chris." Well worth the injuries.

Hi Chris,

Though we have never met, I feel that I already know you. Pam speaks of you often, and she's a favorite of mine. So judging by her opinion of you, you must be alright.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and saying all those nice things. I have to come clean, however, on my tactics. I'm a thief, and I'm not really ashamed to say it.

I have been stalking your blog (it's my first stalking experience, and it's quite thrilling). Basically, I've been stealing your ideas and implementing your photography advice. So if any of my pictures are noteworthy, it is thanks to you.

I will probably steal more ideas. I am loving the hand-holding picture..... hmmm

If I go too far in my thievery, please let me know. :)

Until next time,
-Tera
