365: Week 2

Here it is! The often imitated, never duplicated....

365: Week 2!

Day 8

January 8: There's no ice cream cone in the world that won't be just a little better if you jam an Andes mint into it.

Day 9

January 9: I know what you're thinking. In his left hand is the iPod, in his right hand is, obviously, the camera. How is he steering the car?

That's why knees were invented.

Day 10

January 10: A family portrait, courtesy of the Wii Fit Plus. From left to right: Emma, Matt, Sharon, Jordan and Me. Chris. Duh.

Day 11

January 11: In Utah, in the winter, we often end up with a temperature inversion. This means that the temperatures up at the ski resorts are actually higher than they are down here in the valley. It makes for some extremely poor air quality -- so bad that the kids have to stay in from recess. This past week, Salt Lake has had the worst air in the country.

There is one good side effect though: the hazy, smoggy fog leaves these ice crystals all over everything. If I had to choose between beauty and breathing, I'll choose breathing, but when I don't have a choice...

Day 12

January 12: This is my sister-in-law, Pam. Many of you already know her from her blog No Ordinary Life. She and her family are currently living in Germany, but Pam is in town this week for a family wedding. She had nothing to do, and I'm unemployed, so Tuesday we shot some pictures.

Day 13

January 13: Three thousand dollars worth of ivory. Jordan got her braces off today. And immediately began to ingest all the things that have been prohibited for the last year and a half.

Day 14

January 14: I'm actually shooting the family wedding today, and was planning to use one of those photos as my daily picture. Then I realized that I wouldn't get it up until late tonight, and that just won't do!

This is part self portrait, part shameless plug. This is the sign on the rear window of my car.  My new "business venture." I am Five Olives Photography! (And it was too cold to get out of my car.)

Wooooo for shameless plugs!

Pam looks HOT.

Jon can steer with his knees too. It freaks me out and makes me jealous. Because I can't do it.

The word verification says evensmut. Huh.

hmmm...interesting. Is this an invitation to link? And if so, do we have to link one photo or duplicate your layout? Sorry for asking...

Ah, love the sight of perfectly straight teeth. I hope to see a set of those one of those soon, too! Not nearly as much as my son, though.

And I love those ice crystals!

Mmmmm ice cream....mmmmm andes! I totally like to hoard them when we dine at Olive Garden. Andes? What? Where? Oh the waitress must have forgotten to bring them. ;)

I totally remember doing the same thing when I got my braces off. I had them for 8 years...although you wouldn't know that. Of course I can also remember ripping out some of my braces because I just had to have a Sugar Daddy. *L* My orthodontist loved me.

I'll be back this evening to link up. :)

You've jumped on the Glee bandwagon too? Am I the only one not on it?
The ice crystals are gorgeous!
And really, how can you eat ice cream when it's freakin' freezing outside? That's when I need a big ole piece of chocolate cake!

Fantastic! Love those ice crystals even if they are dirty.

So glad you're doing this Chris! This and Five Olives. Most excellent. Looking forward to the wedding photos.

I think that's what they call distracted driving :)

my favorite was the ice crystals--what a shot!

Congratulations to Jordan, yeah I've got about $10,000 invested in ivory :)

My husband ran a home business for about 20 years--It was slow starting out so don't worry, you'll get it going.

I could go for some ice cream about now--I'll have to try that Andes mint thing.

I'm glad you picked the trampoline flip.

I am so prank calling you!
I love the snowflakes! They are beautiful!
The whole driving with your knees, just tell me you weren't on the highway.
There's nothing like eating an apple for the first time in nearly two years! How exciting.
Looks like a great week.
I am so excited to see your button, it looks great!

Did anyone even question the knee thing? It's one of the first things I try out on a new car-- if my knees reach comfortably, we're good to go.

Great shots again-- but it's midnight and I'm now craving ice cream with an andes candy in it

Hahaha! Great shots. You and my brother drive the same way, except he's got a computer and a book in his hands instead of a camera and an iPod.

Now I need an ice cream cone. With a mint in it.

I really hope you weren't actually driving when you took that picture...
And very cool picture of the ice crystals. I'm curious what surface they were on.
I thought Jordan looked different when I saw her, but I wasn't sure why. Beautiful!
