Day 190

July 9: I found this little guy in the warehouse. I did the noble thing, and showed him the way to freedom. In exchange, I thought he could sit for a few pictures.

He was eaten by an opportunistic bird shortly after this shot.

Sorry about that.

Day 191

July 10: I'm not in the habit of taking pictures of the children of complete strangers, and then posting them on my blog, but I couldn't pass this up.

My children participated in a bike parade tonight, and this little one was in the line up just ahead of them.

I'm sure she has no idea why her dad did this to her bike.

And yes, I'm pretty sure it was her dad.

Day 192

July 11: Farmington Festival Days. That's our little hometown celebration each July. This is the only fireworks show we're getting this year (usually we get three), so I thought I'd see what I could do with the camera.

I've always loved the rockets' red glare.

In the Caribbean they call this "Painting the Sky" -- isn't that cool?

Day 193

July 12: My "cute" brother-in-law.

And his cute girlfriend.

Being cute.

(They were trying to make a heart. I think they made a turnip).

Day 194

July 13: One of these CSI's is guilty of sneaking in to the van, and stealing the garage door opener. Any guesses? (Hint: check out the shifty eyes. Or just go here, for the full story).

Day 195

July 14: I'm not much of a griller, most everything I cook on the grill, tastes like my shoe. But, I'm trying to remedy that this summer.

These pork chops tasted almost as good as they looked.

(If you don't think they look good, just let me pretend. I'm fragile.)

Day 196

July 15: We went swimming tonight.

This is Emma; sun drenched and water logged.

I don't get to go swimming very often, and it was a lot of fun, I have just one complaint:

I realize it's the swimming pool, but some of the things people were wearing were down right frightening! Do these people have mirrors in their homes?

What ever happened to good old fashioned dignity?
