I'm going to use the next 75 words to tell you why I don't lose hope:
Because a sunrise still follows every sunset.
Because, despite the trend of world civilizations, doing the right thing still matters to almost everyone I know.
Because my kids still think it's worth spending time with me.
Because people make me smile more than they don't.
Because I'm not wired for hopelessness.
Because the world is still full of wishers and the sky is still full of stars.
And because college football starts in 42 days!
